only 11% of stories in US history textbooks are about women. which is kinda weird, because women have been around for pretty much all of history.
to reconcile this, we made an AR app that puts inspiring women from the past directly into today’s textbooks. it’s free. it’s easy to use. and the sexist textbook companies can’t do anything about it.
with 88 million impressions in the first month, our ‘Lessons in Herstory’ app got attention from the UN, the World Economic Forum, Good Morning America, NowThis, Fortune Magazine, and others. it was presented at the Global Women’s Summit in Switzerland, featured as ‘App of the Day’ on the app store, and is now being implemented into school curriculum across the country :)
